Our Honorary Co-Chairs
We are delighted to be invited back as the Honorary Co-Chairs of the 2011 Commonwealth Cup. It is a privilege to participate in such an enjoyable event that has been so successful in raising much needed funds in our community. This year we are very excited that funds raised will go toward improving healthcare in our region, supporting the work being done by the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. With confidence that we will build on previous year's successes, we look forward to the continuing support of our community.
It is important to say a very special thank you to Dan and his team at Commonwealth for their ongoing hard work in creating a first class tournament. We know that it takes countless hours of organization by a large number of people. We would also like to thank all our sponsors for their generous support of this annual event. Everyone has invested a great deal of time and energy and yes - even a lot of dollars, but the results are something we can all be proud of. This year will be no different. We truly appreciate being asked to serve as Honorary Co-Chairs and will work very hard to help make sure our final total increases again this year!
We look forward to welcoming you to another great tournament, at the Aberdeen Glen Golf Course on Tuesday, July 19. Please remember to bring your wallet with you! This annual fundraising golf tournament it not only a great social event, but your chance to make a huge difference in the enhancement of healthcare and wellness through your support of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 8th Annual Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament. I am extremely pleased that I am able to participate this year, and know that we will all enjoy ourselves while supporting this years charity - the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation! I would like to thank all of the participants in this years Commonwealth Cup Golf Tournament for coming out for a day of fun on the links to help raise money for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. On behalf of the Spirit of the North I would like to sincerely thank all participants, volunteers and sponsors who make this great tournament such a huge success. Also a big thanks to Dan McLaren and his team at Commonwealth for all the work they do every year to raise funds for our community.
Funds raised this year will be used towards the purchase of a Video Capsule Enteroscopy machine (also known as a "Camera Pill") which is another much needed piece of equipment for UHNBC.
